Job Summary
The Retail Cashier (1) is responsible for selling fuel and travel products, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties include verifying the age of purchasers for restricted items, handling currency transactions accurately, assisting with merchandising and housekeeping, maintaining inventory, and complying with relevant laws. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have at least one year of experience, and demonstrate strong communication, maturity, and dependability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience is preferred
- Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner
- Must be able to operate and use all equipment and register system necessary to run the store
- Must be able to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation
- Ability to move or manage merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must keep abreast of the fast-changing pace in the industry and possess adequate computer skills
- Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
- Ability to perform all aspects of this position adequately and successfully
- Must be willing to cross train for all positions as assigned by management
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours
- Must possess a valid state driver's license or state ID
Additional Requirements
- Internal Promotion, must complete 90-day probation period, work as Retail Cashier (1) for 6 months, be certified in all positional requirements, pass interview, & positional slot is available to be considered for a Retail Cashier (2)
