Job Summary
Process customer transactions accurately for account products like CDs and savings, conduct teller duties including cashing checks and deposits, and balance cash drawers. Greet and engage customers to build professional relationships, answer phone inquiries, and escalate disputes as needed. Perform branch operations such as opening and closing procedures, processing mail, and conducting quality control checks on documents. Ensure all activities adhere to bank policies, regulatory compliance, and security procedures while maintaining a neat workspace. Complete logs, reports, and control checks daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-4 years customer service experience
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office and knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn banking software applications
- Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy
- Customer service orientation with effective problem-solving and ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members
- Outstanding listening and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated
- Overnight and out of town travel is possible on occasion
