Job Summary
Process customer transactions accurately, including opening and servicing account products like CDs and savings accounts, while adhering to bank policies and regulatory compliance. Conduct teller duties such as cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, and issuing monetary instruments. Greet customers warmly, answer phone inquiries, and escalate disputes to internal resources. Balance cash drawers, perform quality control checks on documents, and maintain an organized work area. Complete logs, reports, and control checks while ensuring customer confidentiality. Participate in Community Reinvestment Act activities by volunteering with qualifying organizations to meet branch metrics.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-4 years customer service experience
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office
- knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn banking software applications
- Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy
- Customer service orientation with effective problem-solving and ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members
- Outstanding listening and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, services, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated
- Overnight and out of town travel is possible on occasion
