Job Summary
Prepare, slice, assemble, and serve high-quality deli meats, cheeses, sandwiches, and baked goods while providing prompt, courteous customer service at the counter. Operate slicers, scales, ovens, and other equipment safely; slice, weigh, label, and package items per specifications. Maintain and rotate inventory to ensure freshness, monitor product dates, and remove expired items. Keep workstations clean, stock shelves, and ensure displays are visually appealing. Follow all FDA and GMP food safety and sanitation procedures. This role requires 1–2 years of deli experience, proficiency with knife and slicer equipment, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- 1–2 years of experience working in a deli or food retail environment
- Proficient with knife and slicer equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift (up to 50 lbs), and carry products for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to Sicklerville, NJ
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with basic math and handling point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Previous bakery or food prep experience
