Job Summary
Join Fresh Baguette as a Retail Baker in one of our Washington, DC, MD, or VA cafe locations. Provide friendly and prompt customer service, handle cash transactions, offer product recommendations, bake a variety of breads and pastries, prepare products for the next day’s baking schedule, maintain organization of the freezer and fridge, pack delivery items, set up an inviting bread display, clean and sanitize the baking station, ensure safety and sanitation compliance, and build long-term relationships with customers. Roles include Baking, Barista, Sandwich Making, and Customer Service. This is an hourly, full-time or part-time position with locations in Rockville MD, Germantown MD, Georgetown DC, Penn Quarter DC, McLean VA, Alexandria VA, Lafayette Square DC, Cleveland Park DC, and Bethesda MD. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Availability to work Monday-Sunday
- Open Availability to work weekends including holidays
- English fluency
- Experience in fast-paced customer-oriented environment (1 year minimum)
- Experience working in café/bakery/hospitality is a plus
- Standing for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs
