Job Summary
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for drivability and engine problems, including tire wear, vibration, and TPMS issues. Execute general maintenance, repairs, tire installations, oil changes, and basic services such as brakes, alignments, and fluid changes. Properly torque wheels, identify tire specifications, and assist junior technicians with diagnostics and shop cleanups while adhering to TIA safety procedures. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, with Saturday coverage as needed. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and operate machinery safely. Join a family-owned team with 80 years of industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Advanced TIA Tire Service Certification
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs
- Certified to perform State Inspections
- Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations
- Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues
- Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude
- Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical
- Self-Control - Employee is required to maintain composure, keep emotions in check, control anger, and avoid aggressive behavior regardless of circumstances
- Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely
- This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces
- Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Saturdays 7:30am -12pm as needed
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
