Job Summary
Mount and balance basic OE tires on passenger cars and light trucks, perform oil and filter changes, and execute state inspections, wheel alignments, and TPMS resets. Torque wheels accurately, repair flat tires, and maintain the shop and grounds to a safe work environment while following Tire Industry Association safety procedures. Operate machinery and equipment safely in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and confined spaces. Requires a valid driver's license, 2-3 years of tire/automotive experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time role with Monday through Friday hours from 7:30AM to 5:30PM and Saturday coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in the tire/automotive industry
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations
- Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues
- Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude
- Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical
- Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely
- This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces
- Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM, Saturday 7:30AM – 12PM as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Basic TIA Tire Service Certification preferred
