Job Summary
Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service while ensuring the store looks great and products are fresh. Package, weigh, and price baked goods and merchandise; rotate stock, remove out-of-date items, and keep shelves stocked and front-facing. Process customer orders using the POS, follow cash handling procedures, and ask for receipts to update the customer database. Operate and sanitize bakery equipment, maintain back stock order, and perform end-of-shift cleaning. Answer telephone calls with excellent etiquette and transfer calls appropriately. Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding issues. Work on your feet for extended periods in a busy environment, adhering to all health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)
- (NY locations only) Food Protection Manager Certificate holder or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
- (NJ locations only) Serve Safe Food Handler Certificate holder or willing to obtain certification within 30
