Job Summary
Develop a knowledge of all shop merchandise to identify and serve guest needs, and accurately operate POS systems for retail transactions. Proactively address customer inquiries while assisting in monitoring and controlling inventory. Perform various shop maintenance and housekeeping duties, and maintain up-to-date information on ski area conditions, programs, and events to aid guest communication. This seasonal role at Windham Mountain Club requires working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable handling a stressful, noisy, and crowded environment while maintaining a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner
- Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Have knowledge of retail sales
- Have sufficient math skills
- Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software
- Must be able to stand for the entire work shift
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly
