Job Summary
Organize clothing racks, pick up fallen items, address spills, and return products to designated locations to maintain an orderly sales floor. Greet and assist customers, remove safety hazards, and occasionally help behind the register. Adhere to safety procedures and organizational standards while prioritizing detail and timeliness. Switch tasks or departments as assigned by leadership to support operational needs. Work in a bright, noisy environment requiring physical endurance and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to frequently exert up to 25 lbs of force
- Ability to constantly apply negligible force when handling objects
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm
- Skill in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands
- Capability of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- Capability of maintaining balance when performing agile tasks
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
- Requirement to wear closed-toe shoes for safety purposes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Ability to work effectively in a noisy environment
- Ability to work effectively in a bright environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of flexibility
- Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English for comprehending instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or customer facing experience is preferred
