Job Summary
Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and a "hello," while assisting with merchandise, answering questions, and handling register transactions politely. Maintain a clutter-free sales floor, perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas, and ensure proper merchandise presentation and replenishment. Execute sizing and recovery, expedite new receipts, and process cash, charge, and refund transactions accurately while adhering to loss prevention and mark-out-of-stock policies. Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Perform these duties during all assigned working hours as part of Ross Inc.'s leading off-price retail chain.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies
- Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
