Job Summary
Receive donated items, sort them by category, and complete paperwork while maintaining the sales floor and operating cash registers. Stock merchandise, remove empty hangers and outdated stock per rotation schedules, and hang textiles according to brand and vintage guidelines. Operate powered industrial trucks to move containers and assemble gaylords and Kit bins. Maintain general housekeeping, ensure proper space utilization, and meet production goals with quality control on sorting and pricing. Provide positive customer relations and work independently when supervisors are absent. Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license when required.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required
- Weekends and holidays required
- Available and on call for emergency situation at stores
- Must be able to provide positive internal and external customer relations
- Demonstrate ability to think independently in supervisor's absence
- Meet production goals
- Demonstrate quality control and accuracy with sorting and pricing guidelines
- Follow 6S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout
- Medium work, occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force and/or up to 25 pounds of lifting, frequent lifting up to 10pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing and repetitive movement
- Inside generally 100%, however, may include outside work on occasion
- Limited emotional effort. Work environment routine with periods of isolated high stress. Short deadlines requiring some overtime
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in retail operations preferred
