Job Summary
Conduct daily store operations by processing donations, stocking merchandise, and managing cash register transactions while ensuring customer service standards are met. Clear outside donations at shift start and end, maintain a clean and safe environment, and rotate inventory to meet production guidelines. Monitor store activities for loss control and report suspicious behavior to management. Answer telephone inquiries and attend scheduled staff meetings. Available to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Ability to work semi-independently
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean appearance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Must possess and consistently demonstrate the ability and willingness to utilize excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers and management
- Ability to answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision when appropriate
- Must be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to bend, reach, stand, talk or hear
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
