Job Summary
As a Retail Associate for Columbia Sportswear Companies, you will serve as a brand ambassador and deliver exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. You will respond to consumer questions, demonstrate product features, and make recommendations while supporting brand values and teamwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards for visual merchandising and safety, assisting customers with product availability, performing cash register transactions accurately, and contributing to store profitability by managing product flow and stock replenishment. The role requires strong problem-solving and sales abilities, and there is potential for advancement. 16+ years old with no formal education required (HS diploma or GED preferred) and 2 years or less experience in a relevant role. Proficiency with Inventory and POS systems and other retail software tools is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years or less experience in retail or related role
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory software
- Customer service skills and ability to engage with customers
- Ability to handle cash transactions and basic math
- Ability to stand/move for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends/seasonal shifts
