Job Summary
Respond to consumer inquiries about product features, benefits, and availability while demonstrating merchandise and making recommendations. Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety by retrieving and stocking items, then process all cash register transactions including sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program connections. Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, and replenishing incoming and outgoing product flow. Perform these duties in an active environment requiring physical movement and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Work flexible schedules with opportunities for advancement within Columbia Sportswear Company's global retail network.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools
- Ability to communicate clearly with others
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts
- Ability to constantly move about
- Ability to adjust/move items weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work in a place with exposure to dust and noise
Desired Qualifications
- 2 (or less) years of experience in a position or specialization
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
