Job Summary
Respond to consumer inquiries about product features, benefits, and availability while demonstrating merchandise and making tailored suggestions. Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety by retrieving and stocking items from the sales floor or inventory locations. Process all cash register transactions accurately, including sales, returns, exchanges, and connecting consumers to the loyalty program. Manage incoming and outgoing product flow to contribute to store profitability. Requires a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and the ability to work in an active environment involving physical movement and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate clearly with others
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts
- Ability to constantly move about
- Ability to adjust/move items weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to use specialized equipment
- Ability to work in a place with exposure to dust and noise
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2 (or less) years of experience in a position or specialization
- Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools
