Job Summary
Conduct customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store. Receive donations by greeting donors, unloading materials, entering customer information, and thanking contributors. Process merchandise by sorting, separating, hanging, testing, cleaning, and marking clothing, appliances, and seasonal items. Execute cashiering duties including sales transactions, managing cash and credit card payments, and handling voids, discounts, and refunds. Perform cleaning tasks across bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break rooms, and store exteriors while reporting maintenance issues. Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of electronic devices
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Reach with hands and arms
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- With assistance, be able to push/pull rolling carts weighing up to 530 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable
- Prior cashiering experience is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
