Job Summary
Drive sales and service growth by executing selling techniques, training associates, and fostering a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot's 5C values. Manage operational efficiency through accurate merchandise processing, visual merchandising standards, and process improvement initiatives to reduce waste. Lead a high-performing team by providing ongoing coaching, observing performance, and facilitating training on the business model. Fulfill External Key Carrier responsibilities including opening and closing, alarm system activation, cash handling, and daily store balancing while ensuring loss prevention compliance. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time positions must perform all Key Carrier duties. Background checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that aligns with business needs, inclusive of the ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Must be able to perform External Key Carrier responsibilities which include but are not limited to opening and closing responsibilities
- Must consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's preferred in Business, Marketing, Retail, or related field
- 1–3 years related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience
- Basic computer skills; able to use job-related technology and systems
- Advanced selling skills and strong customer focus
- Proven leadership: able to lead, coach, motivate, and manage conflict
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute
- Excellent verbal and written communication; effective collaborator and team player
- Demonstrates business acumen, accountability, and drive for results; makes sound decisions
