Job Summary
As an Assistant Store Manager at Goodwill of North Georgia in Commerce, GA, you will assist the Store Manager in running the store. This includes hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff; leading meetings; maintaining displays and merchandising presentations; ensuring cash handling per policy; and driving the store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance. Ongoing training is provided, with potential opportunities to transfer to other stores as you progress. The role emphasizes managing in a bustling, donor-driven retail environment, with emphasis on customer service, team leadership, inventory/merchandising, and adherence to store policies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience supervising 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail OR 1 year supervisory experience with Goodwill training OR Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics/retail/warehouse/fast food/restaurants/B2B OR 4+ years military service with supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with POS or selling systems and MS Office
- Driver's license and dependable transportation
