Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager responsible for day-to-day store operations in a jewelry/general merchandise environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, drive profitability, and maintain excellent customer relations. Duties include training Pawnbrokers, recruiting top talent, opening/closing the store, protecting assets, managing inventory/loans/merchandising, analyzing financial statements, meeting financial goals, and ensuring adherence to FirstCash standards. Role requires cash handling, computer/POS proficiency, and the ability to work across multiple locations; firearms certification is required and bilingual applicants are encouraged. The position includes an hourly wage plus a commission plan and potential bonuses based on store performance, along with comprehensive benefits and tuition reimbursement for eligible full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
- Must be able to work flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week
