Retail Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Supervise all aspects of store operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring best-in-class service is extended to every guest. Lead and coach team members to maximize the guest experience, providing daily coaching on roles in delivering store culture and values. Maintain interior and exterior image standards, manage inventory levels and product rotation, and ensure fresh products are merchandised correctly. Assist with hiring activities, participate in recruitment marketing, and guide customers while memorizing product locations. Perform basic math functions to collect payments and maintain accurate cash drawers, while keeping the store clean and orderly.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- 2+ years experience in the retail, food service, or hospitality industries
- Must be able to serve guests, communicate, and handle cash transactions effectively
- Must be accountable, reliable, and punctual
- Must have sufficient visual ability to check identification and process credit cards
- Must be able to lift/stock inventory weighing up to 50 pounds
- Weekend Availability Expected
- Overtime Availability (Optional)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
- Prior experience in a C-Store and/or food service environment
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite of products
- Desire for a long-term career in retail services
