Retail Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Supervise all aspects of store operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring "best in class" service is delivered to guests. Train, develop, and lead team members through daily coaching on roles, store culture, and core values. Manage inventory levels, product rotation, and merchandising standards for "fresh all day" offerings while maintaining interior and exterior image standards. Perform cash collection, accurate change, and basic math functions. Assist with hiring activities, participate in recruitment marketing, and guide customers on product locations. Keep the store clean and orderly, including bathrooms and fuel dispensers, while stocking items and executing marketing promotions. Report to work on time for scheduled shifts across day, evening, or overnight rotations.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- 2+ years experience in the retail, food service, or hospitality industries
- Must be able to serve guests, communicate, and handle cash transactions effectively
- Must be accountable, reliable, and punctual
- Must have sufficient visual ability to check identification and process credit cards
- Must be able to lift/stock inventory weighing up to 50 pounds
- Weekend Availability Expected
- Overtime Availability (Optional)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
- Prior experience in a C-Store and/or food service environment
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite of products
- Desire for a long-term career in retail services
