Job Summary
Oversee store operations in the Manager's absence, including maintaining the store, handling banking, and managing customer/donor inquiries. Supervise staff through oral and written communications, assist with interviewing applicants, and ensure all personnel files are securely maintained. Monitor merchandise receiving, pricing, and selling while ensuring proper rotation and loss control by reporting suspicious activity. Balance cash registers, prepare daily bank deposits, and process transactions using the cash register. Initiate payroll records, track attendance, and submit daily sales reports. Maintain a clean and safe environment by practicing or delegating housekeeping tasks. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and personnel policies for all employees, volunteers, and trainees. Act as a positive role model for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school or GED
- Specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area
- 2 years related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization
- Intermediate: 10-Key
- Basic: Accounting
- May involve occasional travel within the state of Arkansas
- Frequent physical exertion and exposure to unfit donated goods
