Job Summary
Retail Assistant supports Guest Services and Retail operations at Great Lakes Aquarium by supervising front-end and gift-store activities, assisting in staffing and scheduling, training and coaching team members, ensuring accurate cash handling, inventory control, and adherence to policies while helping to drive merchandise and membership/ticket sales and online store activities. The role bridges the Guest Service Team Leads and Gift Store & Purchasing Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and a high-quality guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or guest service, including some supervisory or lead responsibilities required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree/in progress preferred, or equivalent experience in hospitality, retail, or business management.
