Job Summary
Restorative Practices Facilitator reports to the Middle School Principal and supports the district's commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments by promoting restorative practices that strengthen relationships, improve student behavior, and reduce exclusionary discipline. The role collaborates with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families to implement restorative approaches that foster accountability, conflict resolution, and positive school culture; oversees development, implementation, and evaluation of intervention programs; supervises and evaluates staff; develops disciplinary procedures; manages attendance and student activities; ensures safety planning and emergency procedures; maintains district records and reports; and participates in interviewing, hiring, and supervision of personnel involved with student activities.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
- Possess a Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
- A valid Michigan Permanent, Continuing, Provisional, or Professional Teaching Certificate preferred
- Working with students at the secondary teaching experience preferred
- Must have experience and demonstrated success raising achievement with a diverse student population
