Job Summary
Provide direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks, including range of motion and walking programs, while assisting with bowel and bladder management. Document medical records accurately, interpret rehabilitation plans for staff, and participate in quality assurance programs. Monitor equipment needs, report resident regression or refusal to the charge nurse, and attempt service delivery again if residents refuse or are away. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures for codes, fire safety, and wandering alarms. Maintain clean work areas and equipment, reporting any witnessed abuse immediately to the nurse manager.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED, unless working under a student permit.
- Be certified by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a C.N.A. in good standing.
