Job Summary
Conduct resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance for assigned long-term care residents under RN supervision. Perform mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises while utilizing adaptive equipment for fall prevention, turning, positioning, and range of motion activities. Manage personal care tasks including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and eating programs, while accurately documenting progress and reporting condition changes. Demonstrate correct use of ice, paraffin baths, and heat packets per state regulations, maintain infection prevention protocols, and use the EMR system. Obtain resident reports prior to care and adhere to personal protective equipment guidelines. Requires CNA certification, minimum age 16, and valid driver's license for potential Sanford Category II duties. Full-time day shift with 32 weekly hours, $18.50–$25.50 hourly pay, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA certified
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
