Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Conduct mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises while performing bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating programs. Implement special programs designed to improve residents' quality of life and functional independence, utilizing adaptive equipment and proper body mechanics. Document resident progress, report changes in condition promptly, and adhere to infection prevention policies using personal protective equipment. Obtain resident reports prior to care and utilize the EMR accurately. This day shift role includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and requires CNA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA certified
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
