Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Execute mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises, including adaptive equipment, fall prevention, turning, positioning, and range of motion techniques. Manage personal care routines such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and eating programs while obtaining resident reports prior to care. Document progress and promptly report changes in resident conditions or symptoms of infection. Adhere to infection prevention policies, use personal protective equipment correctly, and maintain proper hygiene between care interactions. Utilize the EMR accurately and handle linens in compliance with regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA certified
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
