Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision, including mobility exercises, bathing, toileting, grooming, and eating programs. Perform fall prevention, positioning, and range of motion exercises while obtaining resident reports and documenting progress. Utilize adaptive equipment and standard precautions, including PPE and hand hygiene, to report infection symptoms promptly. Manage linens and supplies according to regulations, use the EMR accurately, and deliver age-appropriate physical and psychological care per the care plan.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA certified
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
