Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Conduct mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises while performing bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating programs. Execute fall prevention, positioning, and range of motion exercises using adaptive equipment and standard precautions. Document resident progress, report condition changes promptly, and utilize the EMR accurately. Maintain infection prevention policies and complete required competency testing. Requires CNA certification, a valid driver's license, and 32 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
