Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises, including adaptive equipment use, fall prevention, turning, positioning, and range of motion exercises. Assist with grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and exercise programs while obtaining resident reports before providing care. Document progress, recognize condition changes promptly, and adhere to infection prevention policies using personal protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
