Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises, including adaptive equipment use, fall prevention, turning, positioning, and range of motion exercises. Assist with grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and swallowing programs while obtaining resident reports prior to care. Document progress, recognize condition changes, and report symptoms of infections to staff promptly. Demonstrate correct use of ice, paraffin baths, and heat packets per state regulations. Maintain infection prevention policies, use personal protective equipment, and wash hands between cares. Full-time day shift with 32 weekly hours and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Motor vehicle report
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- Pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
