Job Summary
Conduct daily restorative nursing care for assigned residents under RN supervision, including mobility exercises, bathing, grooming, toileting, and positioning. Obtain resident reports, document progress, and report changes in condition promptly. Ensure infection prevention by using personal protective equipment, washing hands between cares, and reporting symptoms of infections. Manage linens, supplies, and adaptive equipment while adhering to state regulations and care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
