Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Conduct mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises; assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and therapeutic activities. Perform appropriate turning, positioning, repositioning, and basic range of motion exercises while using adaptive equipment and fall prevention techniques. Obtain resident reports prior to care, document progress, and promptly report changes in condition. Demonstrate correct use of ice, paraffin baths, and heat packets per state regulations. Use the EMR accurately, maintain infection control policies, wear personal protective equipment, and wash hands between cares. Shift: Day, Full time, 32 hours/week. Salary: $18.50 - $25.50/hr plus $2.50/hr location premium and $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requires CNA certification and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be CNA certified
- Minimum age of 16
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Completion of a C.NA training program
- Training if required by state
- At least 40 hours of specific training related to restorative care procedures
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
