Job Summary
Restorative Nurse Assistant (RNA) provides routine daily nursing care to residents per assessment plan, adhering to federal/state/local standards. Responsibilities include ensuring privacy of nursing care, assisting mobility, reporting condition changes to supervisor, aiding in transporting residents, safe lifting and transfers, supporting residents with sitting/standing/walking, HIPAA-compliant data confidentiality, adhering to facility policies and infection-control procedures, reporting exposures, and attending in-service trainings. May provide CNA back-up coverage (responding to call bells, assisting with feeding and grooming) and perform additional duties as directed by management. Requires high school diploma or GED, CNA training and certifications, English proficiency, and computer/tablet data entry ability. Training and some experience are provided; lifting up to 25 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance) and potential call-backs or emergencies may occur.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion CNA training from accredited school
- Valid CNA certificate number
- Valid RNA certificate
- Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
- Ability to use computer or tablet to enter resident data
