Job Summary
Provide restorative nursing care according to individualized care plans, assisting residents with range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, transfers, and positioning. Encourage independent performance of activities of daily living while checking wander guards and monitoring weekly and monthly weights. Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions to licensed nursing staff, maintaining accurate documentation and restorative records. Communicate effectively with residents, families, therapists, and the healthcare team while following infection control, safety, and facility policies. This role involves rotating weekends and 8-hour shifts within a long-term and rehabilitation center in Chipley, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely transfer, lift, and assist residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and transfer residents according to facility guidelines
- Ability to respond quickly to residents' needs and emergencies
