Restorative Care Aide

Job Summary
Conduct maintenance-based programming for residents including active and passive range of motion, mobility, positioning, communication, recreation, self-care, and behavioral skills. Transport individuals safely via prescribed vehicles and arrange restorative services based on schedules and plan of care. Monitor and assist with mealtime programs, apply splints, and manage adaptive equipment including ordering, distribution, and alterations. Complete documentation such as treatment notes, 90-day reviews, and procedures while facilitating communication with licensed clinical staff regarding goals and progression. Maintain therapy department cleanliness and execute HSD clinics for wheelchairs, orthotics, and shoe clinics. Provide training on body mechanics, lifting techniques, and safety procedures to designated staff.

- Ability to transfer clients
- Ability to lift weights
- Ability to transport clients
- Ability to assist with treatment on the mat or during ambulation, exercise, and activities
- Knowledge of and ability to exercise appropriate body mechanics during treatment
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Equivalent medical/educational/experiential background
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR and Basic Life Support certification through AHA
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Email communication skills
- Word processing skills
- Spreadsheet software skills
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years' experience in rehabilitation, working alongside licensed clinical professionals
- Completion of a Restorative or Rehabilitation Nurse Training Program
