Job Summary
Plan and execute large-scale construction projects by managing scope, deadlines, and quality across multiple sites. Direct employees and subcontractors while conducting weekly inspections to ensure safety and adherence to contract specifications. Collaborate with clients and estimators to adjust scope, price, and timelines, and secure necessary permits and inspections. Manage project budgets and handle invoicing and collection of funds. This role requires climbing roofs, working in confined spaces, and driving to various job locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of construction estimating experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic math skills (equivalent to those needed at a GED level)
- Ability to climb roofs
- Ability to crawl into confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Ability to carry a 28' ladder from their truck and set it up at the roof line
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language
- Knowledge of industry related software
- Ability to touch type
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps
- Age 21 or older
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language
