Restoration and Safety Coordinator - Hoover High School

Job Summary
Lead the restoration process and implementation of restorative practices within the school community, including designing specific elements for the site. Provide guidance and oversight to school restoration and safety team members, campus monitors, and community volunteers while ensuring safety and security are maintained. Build positive relationships with stakeholders and maintain emotional objectivity during pre, during, and post-intervention phases. Supervise campus monitors, manage performance evaluations, and coordinate with law enforcement and DMPS public safety to support youth diversion and maintain a secure learning environment. Ensure the school maintains proper documentation for Restraint and Seclusion compliance and provide professional development to all staff in restorative practices. Maintain the building CPI crisis response team and participate in training on seizure, detainment, anti-bias, and trauma-informed care. Work closely with the District Operations team to ensure preparedness and compliance with physical plant safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, social worker, or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years working with youth in a teaching, counseling or advocate role
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Iowa Teaching License or Statement of Professional Recognition
- Experience in counseling, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, and/or academic support of at risk students
- Experience in RTI or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Competence in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
