Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment including fryers, ovens, dishwashers, and refrigeration units. Perform preventative maintenance, clean and lubricate appliances, and fix hazardous conditions or emergencies as required. Process work orders, schedule restaurant visits, and maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and expense reporting. Execute general facility upkeep and possess knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Requires five years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to read technical procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug and background screening
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, across all levels of the organization
- Exercise good time and project management skills
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret schedules, equipment specifications, manuals and scopes of work
- Competent in App and PC-based scheduling and other job-related applications
- Some electrical understanding of outlets, power cords, and related safety procedures
- Knowledge of plumbing, replacement of faucets, hoses, nozzles, etc.
- Possess basic knowledge of mechanical and refrigeration systems related to kitchens and restaurants
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and business periodicals
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Proven working experience in food preparation equipment
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for weekend shifts
