Job Summary

Supervise shift coverage, coordinate breaks, and ensure team members maintain menu knowledge and menu updates. Monitor product quality, maintain clean work areas, and ensure venues are stocked for service. Comply with liquor laws and franchise agreements while conducting end-of-shift reports for cashiers. Troubleshoot Point of Sale systems, facilities, and equipment issues as necessary. Provide ongoing supervision, mentoring, and coaching to team members, communicating respectfully with internal staff and guests. Handle cash accurately and perform basic math functions for transactions and inventory. Maintain a valid Health Food Handlers Card and required compliance trainings. Work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs. Available for the University of Utah Ken Garff University Club.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3+ year supervisory experience in a restaurant environment
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid Health Food Handlers Card
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid Alcohol Awareness Certification
  • Must acquire and maintain Suspicious Activity training
  • Must acquire and maintain other required compliance trainings
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory
  • Ability to communicate with team members, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Must maintain excellent attendance
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume food court, buffet, and/or club in a supervisory capacity
