Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates dining room staff to provide courteous, rapid service to guests. Responsible for hiring, orienting, scheduling, coaching, training, and motivating front-of-house employees; develops training goals for operations; takes orders and upsells beverages/food; enforces age verification and responsible alcohol service; manages beverage and food service, including non-alcoholic drinks, wine, beer; inventories and orders china, glass, linen, and silver; resolves guest complaints; ensures health, safety, and liquor-regulation compliance; coordinates with maintenance, food prep, banquets, cleanliness, safety, and marketing; controls departmental expenses and waste; understands market position and competition; maintains organized work area; plans promotional programs; adheres to all policies; supervises 1-30 front-of-house staff and performs interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals; requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and related certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1-4 years related experience
- franchise-specific certification may be required
- federal/state/local food service certifications may be required
