Job Summary
Restaurant Server greets guests, takes and communicates orders, and maintains a welcoming dining environment from seating to completion. Responsibilities include preparing dining tables, ensuring condiment refills, handling wine service, accurately recording revenue and processing payments, cleaning and restocking front-of-house areas, assisting with kitchen/prep as needed, and supporting special events. Requires familiarity with menu choices, strong guest-relations and communication skills, reliable attendance, proper food safety training, and experience with reservation software and POS systems. A year of prior food and beverage experience is preferred, along with training in guest relations and food safety.
Required Qualifications
- Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
- Strong written/verbal communications skills
- Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google) POS (Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (Open Table)
- One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper food handling
