Job Summary
Provide guests exceptional service in a fast-paced hotel restaurant environment. Greet guests, take and confirm orders, input into POS, deliver orders to tables, promote specials and desserts, and ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of menu items, service standards, and beverage offerings; assist colleagues to ensure smooth service. Must be able to transport trays up to 30lbs and operate POS equipment; appearance and teamwork are emphasized to deliver a positive guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Professional appearance and manner at all times
- Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- Ability to transport large trays up to 30lbs
- Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
- Ability to work regular/consistent shifts
- Ability to comply with alcohol-service requirements (State/Federal rules)
