Job Summary
Breakfast Server for Hyatt House in Virginia Beach is responsible for taking and delivering orders, serving food and beverages to tables, handling payments, and maintaining a clean dining area. The role involves presenting menus, answering questions, describing menu items and ingredients, ensuring proper identification for alcohol service, assisting with reservations or to-go orders, and supporting host/hostess as needed. The position emphasizes guest relations, timely service during morning shifts, wine service, coffee preparation, and adherence to hotel service standards in a fast-paced breakfast environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Previous guest/customer relations experience
- Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified, or become certified by first day on the job
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system, computers, or point of sale system
- Certification in liquor, wine and food service preferred
