Job Summary
Conduct full-service dining by intuiting guest appetites through verbal and non-verbal cues, making menu recommendations, and selling items to increase overall sales. Serve beverages and food cheerfully while ensuring the service station remains properly stocked and maintaining a clean, orderly appearance. Know all menu descriptions, ingredients, wine lists, and specialty drinks including scotches and cognacs, plus drinks names, ingredients, and preparation methods. Follow all steps of service, sanitation guidelines, and complete posted side work while providing prompt, accurate income reports. Work flexible hours including nights and weekends, carry full-service trays, and lift up to 50 pounds. Maintain a positive attitude with co-workers and guests, demonstrate enthusiasm for 21c Museum Hotels, and use POS systems effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends)
- Responsible, dependable, punctual
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English
- Clean and professional appearance
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c
- Familiarity with and ability to use POS systems
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to carry a full-service tray comfortably
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
