Job Summary
Receive and inspect all food, beverage, and operating supply deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition. Verify products against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips while rejecting damaged or spoiled shipments per company procedures. Maintain accurate receiving records, enter deliveries into inventory systems, and label goods following First In, First Out rotation. Ensure refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods are stored promptly in compliance with food safety standards. Operate pallet jacks and carts safely while keeping docks, coolers, and work areas clean and organized. Coordinate with vendors and delivery personnel to ensure timely arrivals. Support restaurant, banquet, and culinary operations by ensuring product availability. Requires Food Handler Certification and ability to work in cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Food Handler Certification
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects regularly
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and repetitive lifting
- Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, warehouse, and loading dock environments
Desired Qualifications
- Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, food service, hospitality, or restaurant experience
- Experience receiving food and beverage products in a high-volume environment
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management or purchasing systems
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately verify quantities and invoices
- Forklift or pallet jack certification
