Job Summary
Restaurant Manager responsible for the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit, driving Service Profit Chain performance and Brand Promise. Develops and leads a team to deliver exceptional internal and guest service, maintains food quality and safety, manages staffing and training, monitors costs and budgets, analyzes operational and financial performance, and executes strategies to grow sales and profitability. Key duties include recruiting, training, developing, and evaluating staff; ensuring compliance with labor laws and company procedures; maintaining guest satisfaction through consistent service and product quality; leveraging P&L thinking to optimize financial results; and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Jack in the Box values. Strong emphasis on leadership, coaching, development, and adherence to HACCP/ServSafe standards, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education - High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Minimum age 18+
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English effectively
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to other restaurants as required
- 1+ years experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal promote path OR 3 years external management experience with full P&L responsibility (as applicable)
