Restaurant Manager oversees the daily operations of the student-operated restaurant, providing supervision, instruction, and mentorship to high school students in the Pathway Academy program.Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and participating in food preparation and service; ensuring USDA guidelines are met; supervising ordering, receiving, and rotating stock; maintaining records and reports; training students in operations, sanitation, and safety; handling deposits; and supporting district operations. The role combines restaurant management with career and technical education to create a real-world learning environment where students develop industry skills and earn concurrent college credit. Collaboration with school staff and post-secondary partners ensures meaningful work-based learning experiences that prepare students for success in college, careers, and the hospitality industry.
